All in all, Maggie and I had a really good day. We went to Maya's house to play and have lunch and then came back home to make some chicken noodle soup and watch movies. Fall rainy days are really good for just staying home. We spent yesterday with Rebecca doing just that. Having a spaghetti dinner in the candlelight with the rain coming down. It was so nice! It will be a little sad that my little sister will be married and though I know we will have other opportunities to do what we did yesterday, it will be few and far between.
It would be a perfect day if we didn't have to get up and go to school tomorrow. I hate how Thursday can seem so like Friday except that we have to get up at 7:00am the next day and do our school day routine. Sleeping in would be heavenly. But oh well, that is the way life is I guess.

Rainy Day Blues
Sorry to start this blog out on such a depressing note, but . . . . . it is rainy and I'm wet cold and cranky, so, that is the way it has to be.
Maggie and I are preparing for another weekend without Ben. This time he is headed off to Indianapolis for a track clinic and cyclocross race in Cleveland. I'm seriously missing him this week, because he was in Houston setting up a branch of his company for three days last week and now he was at work until 8:30pm on Monday, Tuesday I had a meeting for school, today he has a dinner meeting and then off to Indie he goes. Thankfully we are going to get to spend a little time with my folks and sister on Saturday and Sunday and Jan's birthday celebration is on Friday, so, we shouldn't be too lonely or bored. Maybe we will even get to go to the state farmer's market near Rebecca's for a pumpkin. Speaking of Halloween . .
Maggie is getting really excited about Halloween this year. She is one of those kids that will probably end up working in a Haunted House one of these days, because anything gross or scary is absolutely fascinating to her. In particular, she LOVES spiders. So, I've decided to make a giant spider web for the front porch out of fiberglass screening. Maggie will get to create and paint the giant spider for the web and I'm sure we will have a good time doing it. She is going to be a zombie mermaid this year and wants spider webs in her hair even! I'll have to be creative for that one.
Really all I want to think about or do is crawling into bed and sleeping under warm covers instead of sitting here in this depressing, cold school building waiting for my psychology lecture. Man, I think I need a coffee to get through it. I better go get one.
